Vinh City: 66 collectives and individuals were awarded for women's work in 2015

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 15, the Vinh City Women's Union summarized the association's work in 2015 and deployed the direction and tasks for 2016.

In 2015, the City Women's Union concretized the contents of the Central Union, the Provincial Union and the city's plan to bring the women's movement to achieve many high results. The implementation of Directive 03 of the Politburo associated with the campaign "Building a warm home of love" attracted 100% of the union's grassroots to participate.

During the year, the Women's Union at all levels mobilized more than 1 billion VND to support 5 "Shelters of Love", awarded 57 scholarships to children of members in difficult circumstances. Effectively promoted the model of skillful mass mobilization to gather Catholic women into the organization, recruiting 27 more members.

Rewarding groups and individuals with outstanding achievements in the Association's work in 2015.

Continue to effectively implement the poverty alleviation project for the period 2011 - 2015, with a total capital source managed by the association in the year of more than 177 billion VND for 12,906 borrowers, contributing to helping eliminate 43 poor households headed by women. Attention is paid to staff training, the whole city has 104 female members of the Party Committee of communes and wards for the term 2015 - 2020.

In 2016, the city's women's association focused on directing the grassroots women's congress and the 17th city women's congress, term 2016 - 2020; evaluating 5 years of women's movement participating in building urban culture in the period 2011 - 2016.

At the summary conference, 2 groups and 1 individual were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Central Association; 52 groups and 11 individuals were awarded by the Provincial Association, the City People's Committee and the City Women's Union for many high achievements in the association's work in 2015.
