Vinh City: Will double the price of household waste collection and transportation services

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of December 28, Comrade Le Xuan Dai - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting to listen to and give opinions on the construction, appraisal and promulgation of service prices under the local approval authority according to the provisions of the Law on Fees and Charges.

At the meeting, the delegates listened to the leaders of the Department of Finance present the contents of 4 draft proposals including: Decision on vehicle parking service prices in Nghe An province; Price of services using sales areas at markets in the province; Regulation of prices for collection and transportation of domestic waste in Nghe An province; Decision on promulgating prices for surveying and mapping services in cases where competent state agencies allocate land, lease new land or allow the change of land use purpose in places where there is no cadastral map with coordinates in the province.

After listening to the comments of representatives of relevant departments, branches and localities on the price of vehicle parking services in the area, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Finance to revise some points in the draft and approve the Report with the proposed price remaining the same as before. Regarding the price of services using sales area at the market, according to the draft, the prices for the markets will remain the same, except for Vinh Market, it is proposed to increase by 3%, and increase within the range of 10% for Vinh Railway Station Market.

Ms. Vo Thi An, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, gave her opinion on the service price for using sales area at Vinh Market and Vinh Railway Station Market.

The draft promulgation of prices for surveying and mapping services was newly issued to serve as a basis for organizations and units assigned by the State to provide surveying and mapping services from January 1, 2017.

Regarding the regulation of prices for collection and transportation of household waste, it is implemented according to the roadmap for increasing service prices, towards compensating 100% of collection and transportation costs. Regarding this content, the Vice Chairman suggested that the increase in service prices must be compatible with the quality of service. Vinh City specifically proposed an increase of 2.5 times compared to the current collection level. Through the comments, the Vice Chairman directed that the 2-fold increase is reasonable. Adjusting in a direction that is suitable for each region and the people's ability to pay, while reducing the state budget expenditure.

The price of services using sales area at Vinh Market is proposed to increase by 3%.

Based on the meeting results, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Finance to coordinate with the Provincial People's Committee Office to complete the drafts and submissions for early submission to the Provincial People's Committee for approval./.
