Vinh City: Strengthening control of animal slaughter
(Baonghean.vn) - In order to control slaughtering activities and control epidemics before, during and after Tet, Vinh City People's Committee established an interdisciplinary inspection team to strengthen inspection and control at markets and slaughterhouses in the area.
On the first day of the campaign (December 23), the Vinh City interdisciplinary team inspected Lau and Quang Trung markets. Through the inspection, it was discovered that the vendors were selling goods without quarantine stamps. The authorities warned and handled the matter according to regulations.

According to the plan, the delegation will maintain inspections from now until after Tet and assign specific tasks to members to strengthen inspections at locations at risk of disease transmission. At slaughterhouses, veterinary officers will regularly inspect, strictly control, and organize disinfection spraying when vehicles transporting livestock enter slaughterhouses. After slaughter, quarantine stamps will be stamped and animal quarantine certificates will be issued to businesses. Regularly check the quality of meat products at markets to prevent businesses from mixing "dirty meat" into sales to consumers.
To avoid affecting health, authorities recommend that people should not use meat products without veterinary quarantine stamps.
