Vinh City gives 244 Tet gifts to officials and poor workers

The total Tet gifts from the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Vinh City Labor Federation worth over 400 million VND were given to poor households in the area, of which 244 gifts were given to workers, civil servants and laborers in difficult circumstances; the lowest gift was 500 thousand VND, the highest was 1 million VND and many Tet gifts worth 100 million VND were given to poor commune Mai Son, Tuong Duong district.

Speaking at the ceremony, a representative of the Vinh City Fatherland Front Committee announced the results of the 2017 campaign to support the poor and the results of joining hands to take care of the Lunar New Year for the city's poor; at the same time, he said that this was the amount of money that city officials, civil servants and more than 130 units, agencies and enterprises joined hands to support the poor during Tet.

Along with the gift-giving ceremony for poor households, on this occasion, the Standing Committee of the City Fatherland Front also organized an art exchange to celebrate the Party, celebrate the Spring of Mau Tuat 2018, celebrate the 230th anniversary of Phuong Hoang Trung Do and celebrate the 10th anniversary of Vinh city becoming a class 1 urban area.
