In recent days, the information that the Vietnam Register has opened a page to look up cold fines has attracted the attention of many people. However, many people wonder how vehicles that have been fined coldly or have had their registration suspended will be displayed on the system when looking up. The reason many people are still wondering is because many vehicle owners, when looking up the displayed results, are not subject to cold fines or have had their registration suspended.

In fact, to look up fines on the Vietnam Register's system (integrated with vehicle inspection lookup), vehicle owners only need to go to the Department's website and access the "XCG data lookup" section and fill in the information according to the instructions.

If there is a notice like the above, the vehicle owner has been fined and must pay the fine before being able to have the vehicle inspected.

After the system displays the vehicle data, the vehicle owner only needs to pay close attention to the bottom part. If this box displays the text: "Notification of competent authorities related to the vehicle", it means that the vehicle has not been fined and is normally registered.

However, if in this section there is a small purple box with the words "Notification content" and below it is the number of the police's request letter to stop vehicle inspection (as shown above), it means that the vehicle has been fined and will be temporarily stopped from vehicle inspection until the owner pays the fine.

According to Mr. Ngo Hong He, Head of the Motor Vehicle Inspection Department (Vietnam Register), currently, the Vietnam Register refuses to inspect vehicles that have not paid fines just to support the authorities.

When the competent authority sends a notice of a vehicle violation to the Vietnam Register, the information of the violating vehicle will be entered into the registration system. Just enter the license plate number into the system to know whether the vehicle has violated the road traffic law without paying the fine or not.
