Is motorbike insurance included in the database on road traffic order and safety for management?

Reply:Pursuant to the provisions of Article 7 of the Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety 2024, it is stipulated as follows:

Database on road traffic order and safety

1. Database on road traffic order and safety includes:

a) Database on registration and management of motor vehicles and specialized motorbikes;

b) Database on vehicle registration and specialized motorbikes;

c) Database on training, testing, issuance of driving licenses, and certificates of training in road traffic law knowledge;

d) Database of motor vehicle and specialized motorcycle drivers;

D)Insurance database of motor vehicle and specialized motorbike owners;

e) Database on handling of administrative violations of road traffic order and safety;

g) Road traffic accident database;

h) Database on road vehicle journeys and driver images as prescribed by this Law;

i) Database on management of vehicle driving time of drivers according to the provisions of this Law;

k) Other databases related to ensuring order and safety of road traffic.

2. The database on road traffic order and safety is a shared database; connected and shared with the National Population Database, Road Database and other relevant databases.

3. The Government shall detail Clause 1 and Clause 2 of this Article; regulate the collection, management and exploitation of information in the Database on road traffic order and safety.

Thus, motorbike insurance is included in the Database on road traffic order and safety, connected and shared with the National Population Database, Road Database and other relevant databases, effective from January 1, 2025.
