Regular responsibility, strong bond!

Many projects and tasks implemented at the grassroots level are marked by the exemplary performance of party members in fulfilling their civic duties at their place of residence.

Strong "glue"

Mr. Cao Duc Thang, works at Ha Tinh Customs, but is a permanent resident of Block 11, Trung Do Ward, Vinh City, Nghe An. For more than 20 years working away from home, Mr. Thang has always maintained contact and actively participated in many movements in his residential area. He has been highly appreciated by the Party Committee and Executive Committee of Block 11 for his responsibility in connecting with the Party Committee, Executive Committee and people in his residential area.

I always clearly define the role and responsibility of a party member, not only must I perform well the tasks of my agency or unit, but also must, together with my family, fulfill well the responsibilities and obligations of my place of residence. In particular, my house is near the cultural house of the block, so all policies, guidelines, and movements are disseminated by the block cadres, and we almost understand and grasp them first. Therefore, when starting to implement the contents, my family unanimously acts and completes them early..."

In Block 11, Trung Do Ward, all 53 Party members working in agencies, enterprises, and public service units always fulfill their responsibilities well, regularly maintain contact with the Party organization and the people where they reside according to Regulation No. 213-QD/TW, dated April 15, 2020 of the Politburo. Every year, the Party Committee of Block 11 organizes 2 conferences of Party members working at their place of residence. Thereby, the Party members working there resolve many issues in joining hands to build a civilized block.

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Oanh - Deputy Secretary of the Party Cell, Head of Block 11, Trung Do Ward happily said that in 2022, Block 11 upgraded 3 concrete roads with a cost of more than 550 million VND contributed by the people, in which, working party members played a pioneering role. Notably, 12 households, including 4 families with working party members, agreed to contribute 150 million VND to upgrade a nearly 100m road. At the same time, working party members contributed funds to purchase additional equipment and install air conditioners at the block's cultural house.

The party members who are working are truly the “glue” that firmly binds the Party Committee, the Executive Committee and the people where they live. That contribution is an important contribution to the end of 2022, when Block 11 was awarded the Emulation Flag by Trung Do Ward as the leading unit in the competition.

In Block 13, Ben Thuy Ward, Vinh City, in the past 5 years, Party members working in agencies, enterprises, and public service units residing in the area have contributed many enthusiastic ideas and contributed funds to carry out many cultural institution construction projects, such as: Party flagpole cluster, national flag; stage decoration, purchase of furniture for the block's cultural house; contributed funds to mobilize social resources with the block's executive committee, build volleyball courts, and renovate the drainage system in residential areas worth hundreds of millions of VND.

Comrade Trinh Xuan Phung - Secretary of the Party Cell and Head of the Front Committee of Block 13, Ben Thuy Ward happily said: “The strengthening of the connection between the party members working with the Party Committee, the Executive Committee and the people in the block has created a combined strength, promoting the construction of a more civilized block. Every year, especially at the end of the year, from mid-October, the Party Committee of the block organizes an early conference of the party members working. Thereby, it not only provides two-way information, but also promotes the capacity, qualifications, experience and responsibility of the party members working, contributes to the renovation of the block, builds a cultural lifestyle in each residential group…”.

Strengthening engagement

Currently, in Nghe An, there are about 80,000 party members out of a total of 195,750 party members in the province working in agencies, enterprises, and public service units, fulfilling the responsibility of connecting with the Party cell, grassroots Party committee, and the people where they reside according to Regulation No. 213-QD/TW of the Politburo. Of which, about 20% of party members work in the commune block; 30% of party members work in wards and towns; 80% of party members in the army and police; 95% of party members in enterprises and cooperatives, and 100% of party members in agencies, departments, branches, and the Fatherland Front at all levels.

In Vinh city alone, there are nearly 20,000 party members working in agencies, enterprises, and public service units, fulfilling their responsibilities in connecting with the Party cell, grassroots Party committee, and the people where they reside. Party committees at all levels in 325 blocks and hamlets in 25 wards and communes have proactively organized many conferences, meetings, and discussions with party members working, synthesizing opinions as well as mobilizing financial contributions to build more spacious blocks and hamlets where they reside.

In order to strengthen the connection between party members working in agencies, enterprises, and public service units with the Party cells, grassroots Party committees, and people in their residence, every year, the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies Bloc has signed a coordination program with the Vinh City Party Committee onparty member residence managementfor 4,162/5,244 total party members working in departments, branches and units. Thereby, there are new ways of assessment according to the content of Regulation 213 of the Politburo, contributing to increasing the role and responsibility of party members working for the stability and development of the block and hamlet where they reside. At the same time, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies Block issued a Directive on party member management, including the content of coordinating the management of party members at the place of residence, implementing the responsibilities of party members in the area where they live.
