Experience queuing during the subsidy period
A group of young people recreated the typical space of the subsidy period in an exhibition in Hanoi last weekend. Viewers experienced the feeling of lining up to buy food like more than 30 years ago.

The exhibition "Subsidy - Queuing for the past" was held by a group of students from the School of Economics - Vietnam National University, Hanoi at a building on Xuan Thuy Street, Cau Giay (Hanoi). Many typical spaces of the subsidy period in the North (1975-1986) were recreated, including the food store scene. This is also the place that attracts a lot of visitors, mostly young people, to experience. |

Made entirely by students, the quality of the exhibition is quite modest compared to the large scale and multi-layered theme of the "subsidy period". However, the efforts of the young people have also created a "hyphen" between the past and the present, helping viewers to somewhat feel the difficult period that their fathers and brothers went through. The exhibition is open until May 21. |
