Donated over 37 million VND to two severely malnourished children in Yen Thanh

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of July 23, representatives of the group "Journey of Charity" went to Trung Thanh commune (Yen Thanh) to give more than 37 million VND to the family of Mr. Hoang Van Duc (38 years old, hamlet 6) whose two daughters are severely malnourished.

Mr. Duc's eldest daughter, Hoang Yen Nhi, is severely malnourished. At 3 years old, Nhi only weighs 5kg and cannot speak or sit or stand by herself. The doctor concluded that Nhi is severely malnourished, has cerebral palsy, and has epilepsy.

Nhi's younger sister is Hoang My Uyen (2 months old). When she was born, she was normal, healthy, and weighed 2.1 kg. However, after a month, she did not gain weight. When she was taken to the doctor, she found out that Nhi had a congenital heart disease and was severely malnourished.

Currently, Nhi has just been discharged from the hospital and returned home for a week. Uyen is being treated at the National Children's Hospital and is in poor health.

Duc's family situation is very difficult. Duc is a mechanic, and Nguyen Thi Thanh (Duc's wife) is a farmer. When their two children were born, they were sick and spent more time in the hospital than at home. There was a time when both children were hospitalized at the same time, Duc and his wife had to take turns taking care of them, and could not do anything to earn extra income. Duc borrowed hundreds of millions of dong from the bank and relatives to pay for their children's treatment. Up to now, Duc and his wife are no longer able to borrow.

In addition to his two children, Mr. Duc also has a father, Mr. Hoang Nhi (78 years old), who was in a traffic accident and is paralyzed in both legs. Mr. Duc's family is in a very difficult situation.

In order to join hands to help the unfortunate, the group “Journey of Charity” called on organizations, businesses and individuals to support the two children. In addition, officials and union members of Trung Thanh commune and people of hamlet 6 joined hands to help and donate a total of 37,420,000 VND.
