Giving gifts to poor households in Tuong Duong, Quy Chau and Tan Ky

(Baonghean.vn) - On January 23, many agencies and units presented Tet gifts in Tuong Duong, Quy Chau and Tan Ky districts.

Responding to the program "Tet for the poor 2018", on January 23,Nghe An Border Guard Commandgave 120 gifts to people in Tam Hop border commune (Tuong Duong).

The value of each gift is 500,000 VND including cash and necessities for Tet. The money to buy gifts for people in border areas was voluntarily donated by officers and soldiers of Nghe An Border Guard.

Quy Chau district has launched a campaign to support the program "Tet for the poor" Mau Tuat 2018.

This time, Quy Chau district called on 99 agencies, units, schools, businesses, philanthropists and people from all walks of life to promote the tradition of solidarity and the spirit of "mutual love" and actively participate in supporting, visiting and giving gifts to poor households and people in especially difficult circumstances.

On this occasion, 37 schools, 48 ​​agencies, 14 businesses in the area donated 404 million VND, and officials from the People's Committees of 12 communes and towns donated more than 32 million VND. In the coming time, the program "Tet for the poor" will mobilize nearly 7,960 households (excluding poor households) with an estimated amount of more than 159 million VND.

January 23,Nghia Dung commune, Tan Ky districtawarded 6 million VND to support the purchase of goats to develop production for poor households, namely Ngan Van Dat in Duong Le hamlet and Ha Van Khang in Dong Kho hamlet (3 million VND each). The money was taken from the district's "For the Poor" Fund.

Tan Ky 3 High Schoolvisited and gave gifts of 2 million VND and warm blankets to Thao, Tan Dong hamlet, Dong Van commune, the character in the article "Pitying the poor student taking care of her seriously ill mother", published in Nghe An newspaper on January 20, 2017.

For three years now, the single mother has been suffering from a serious illness. Feeling sorry for her mother, Thao, a 10th grade student at Tan Ky 3 High School, has had to skip school many days to work extra to earn money to support her mother. Without money for treatment, Ms. Nam's illness has become more and more serious, adding more hardship to Thao's thin shoulders.

On this occasion, the school visited and presented gifts worth 3 million VND to 2 students of the school with difficult circumstances in Dong Van commune and presented 2 water purifiers to Tan An Kindergarten.
