Giving Tet gifts to poor households and policy families in localities

Comrade Nguyen Van Do - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Planning and Investmentcame to give Tet gifts to poor households with especially difficult circumstances in Phuc Son commune. Accompanying him was Mr. Nguyen Huu Sang - Chairman of Anh Son District People's Committee.
On this occasion, the Department of Planning and Investment presented gifts to 80 poor households and those in particularly difficult circumstances in Phuc Son commune. Each gift was worth 500,000 VND. This meaningful gift partly helps families have more conditions to celebrate Tet and have a happy Spring.

Nghe An Provincial Farmers' AssociationIn coordination with Hoa Hiep Company Limited, 60 gifts, each worth 500,000 VND, were presented to policy households and poor people in especially difficult circumstances in Nam Trung commune, Nam Dan district.

District Party Committee, People's Committee, Fatherland Front Committee of Quy Hop districtIn coordination with the District Small and Medium Enterprises Association, 340 Tet gifts were given to poor households in 3 communes, including: Nghia Xuan commune with 169 gifts, Minh Hop commune with 90 gifts and Tam Hop commune with 81 gifts. Each gift is worth 500,000 VND, with a total value of 170 million VND this time.
On the same day, Quy Hop district presented 121 Tet gifts to poor households in Chau Cuong commune, each gift worth 500,000 VND with a total amount of 60,500,000 VND and presented 103 gifts in Chau Thanh commune, each also worth 500,000 VND, with a total amount of 51,500,000 VND.
This amount was taken from more than 3 billion VND at the night of joining hands to support the poor to celebrate the Lunar New Year, which was mobilized by the District Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee of Quy Hop district from agencies, businesses, and philanthropists.

Also in Quy Hop, Quy Hop Agricultural Materials CompanyCoordinated with the District Farmers' Association to give 200 Tet gifts to poor households in Chau Dinh and Chau Quang communes, each gift is 10 kg of rice.

100 gifts were given, each worth from 300,000 - 500,000 VND to policy families and families in especially difficult circumstances in Quynh Di ward (Hoang Mai town) and 2 communes: Quynh Tan, Quynh Giang, Quynh Luu district. The total value is nearly 50 million VND (of which Quynh Di ward has 20 gifts; Quynh Tan has 50 gifts and Quynh Giang has 30 gifts).

On this occasion, the Provincial Red Cross also visited, encouraged and awarded 1 million VND to support Nguyen Khac Cuong - Head of the Youth for Community Social Work Group Nghe An 37, who had an accident on the way to organize Tet gift giving in Yen Tinh commune, Tuong Duong district, and is currently being treated at the Spinal Neurosurgery Department of Nghe An General Hospital.

Youth Union of Nghi Loc District People's Bloc agenciesawarded 10 scholarships with a total value of 10 million VND to 10 students in difficult circumstances supported and cared for by the Youth Union branch.
The Youth Union also gave the children a handbook on preventing abuse (including 2 parts for students and parents) and the book "Miracles around us" by author Tran Phuong Nhung. These books aim to equip the children with the necessary skills to protect themselves as well as increase their determination and motivation to help them make more efforts in life and study.

Nghia Dan District PoliceOrganize Tet gift giving for policy beneficiaries and poor households in Nghia Loi, Nghia Hong, Nghia Minh, Nghia Yen and Nghia Lac communes.
25 gifts (each worth 500,000 VND and 25 kg of rice) were given to policy families and families in especially difficult circumstances. This was the contribution of the District Police Department. In addition, the District Police also gave 7 televisions to 7 households in difficult circumstances.

Nghe An Border Guard Command400 gifts were given to the poor in 3 communes: Bac Ly (Ky Son) 160 gifts, Tam Hop (Tuong Duong) 100 gifts, and Mon Son (Con Cuong) 140 gifts. These are 3 poor communes that Nghe An Border Guard received help to eliminate hunger and reduce poverty.
The value of each gift is 500,000 VND, including 300,000 VND in cash and MSG, cooking oil, fish sauce and candy. The money to buy gifts for people in the border area was voluntarily donated by officers and soldiers of Nghe An Border Guard.

Do Luong District Culture - Sports & Communication CenterIn coordination with the District Education Promotion Association and Do Luong District General Trading Joint Stock Company, 43 gifts were given to poor students, each worth 1 million VND.
On this occasion, the units also awarded 33 gifts to poor students who achieved high scores in the 2018 university entrance exam, each worth 1 million VND. The total number of gifts given to poor students and families in difficult circumstances during this period was 76 million VND.

Tan Ky 3 High School (Tan Ky)presented 50 gifts to people in difficult circumstances on the occasion of Lunar New Year (47 students of Tan Ky 3 High School, 2 students of Nghia Phuc Primary School, 1 policy family in Tan An commune) with a total value of 27,970,000 VND, including 24,970,000 VND in cash, 150 banh chung wrapped and cooked by the Youth Union of Tan Ky 3 High School.
Also in Tan Ky, Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) Vinh branchpresented 30 Tet gifts worth 15 million VND to poor families, families in difficult circumstances, lonely elderly people and policy families in Nghia Phuc commune.
On this occasion, representatives of children of Nghia Phuc commune who are far from their hometown and philanthropists in the district also presented more than 40 million VND with nearly 100 gifts to the poor, lonely elderly people and policy families in the commune.
