(Baonghean.vn) – On the afternoon of November 19, Nghe An Museum held an award ceremony for 6 groups and individuals who discovered and handed over 162 valuable historical and cultural artifacts.

Leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism awarded certificates and rewards to 6 groups and individuals who discovered and handed over antiques.

In recent times, the socialization of the collection of documents and artifacts and the movement of donating artifacts to museums have been increasingly developed and deepened. In 2015 alone, 335 artifacts were donated and collected to Nghe An Museum.

Mr. Nguyen Van Binh handed over to the museum two cannons salvaged from Lam River, the area under Ben Thuy 1 Bridge.

Among the 162 artifacts donated by 6 groups and individuals this time, there are many valuable artifacts such as 2 cannons from the 18th century (including 1 nearly 4m long, weighing over 3 tons) salvaged by Mr. Nguyen Van Binh (in Hung Loi commune, Hung Nguyen district) from the Lam river or some ceramics from the Tang, Ly - Tran, and Le So dynasties.

Among the many artifacts are two ancient vases from the Tang Dynasty and two ancient ceramic vases from the Ly - Tran Dynasty.
