A few minutes later, rescue forces from Yen Tu National Forest and Monument Management Board, Tung Lam Development Joint Stock Company, Yen Tu Information Company 6, and Yen Tu Restoration Project Management Board arrived promptly, agreed on and deployed a rescue plan.
Because the area where the tourist had an accident was a deep abyss of nearly 200 meters, the position of the victim caught in the tree branch was quite dangerous, with no support, the rescue units had to proceed very carefully and with great difficulty. By 11 p.m. the same day, the units had reached the victim and brought him out of the dangerous abyss, ensuring his safety. The tourist was quickly given first aid and taken down to the foot of the mountain to be transferred to the Vietnam - Sweden Hospital, Uong Bi for emergency treatment, and at the same time informed his family. Fortunately, he only suffered soft tissue injuries, not life-threatening. On the morning of September 4, his family asked him to be discharged from the hospital to return to Bac Ninh.

Danger warning sign at Yen Tu. |
This is the second case of a tourist falling down the cliff of Yen Tu and being successfully rescued. Previously, on December 14, 2011, a tourist also fell down a nearly 100 meter deep abyss south of Dong Pagoda. Both tourists, while visiting Dong Pagoda (Yen Tu), ignored the warning signs and crossed the protective fence, leading to the unfortunate incident.
For a long time, to ensure the safety of tourists, all deep ravines and high mountains at Yen Tu relic site have been fenced, protected by corridors and placed with danger warning signs by authorities.
