Deploying the work of the Youth Union and youth movement in 2024
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of January 17, the Youth Union of Nghe An province held a conference to review the work of the Union and youth movement in 2023, and deploy directions and tasks for 2024.
Attending the conference were comrade Le Van Luong - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Youth Union; representatives of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission.
In 2023, the work of the Provincial Youth Union and youth movement achieved many practical results.Movement "I love my Fatherland"The Association at all levels focuses on organizing, creating favorable conditions for young people to participate in training and dedication. The work of building the Association's organization is of interest, with more than 30,200 new members in the year.
Community volunteer activities have been paid attention to and effectively implemented by the Association at all levels, creating good impressions. Models such as "Loving Meals", "Volunteer Saturday", "Carrying Bricks to Build Houses for Children", "Stopping Streams to Make Swimming Pools for Children", "Free Haircut Program", building volleyball courts in localities... have been widely replicated.
In addition, the Youth Union at all levels has promoted the role of youth in actively participating in digital transformation, taking the lead and being responsible in implementing Project No. 06 of the Government; building practical models and activities to contribute to digital transformation such as: Establishing community digital transformation teams; launching a peak emulation campaign "Towards the grassroots, greening electronic identification accounts"...
Activities to accompany young people in starting and establishing businesses have also been promoted by the Youth Union at all levels. The province has organized 52 training courses on starting and establishing businesses and activities to support 9,600 union members and young people; 48 training courses on transferring scientific and technological advances attracting 7,400 union members; organized career counseling for 65,000 young people; supported 13.3 billion VND for young people to borrow capital to start and establish businesses, develop the economy, and 29 creative startup projects.
At the conference, delegates gave many opinions related to the direction and tasks for 2024. In particular, many opinions discussed and proposed contents related to the organization of the Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union at all levels and the 6th Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union of the province, term 2024-2029; solutions to promote digital transformation in the union at all levels...
On this occasion, 17 collectives and 20 individuals received Certificates of Merit from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union for their outstanding achievements in the work of the Union and youth movements in 2023.
The Secretariat of the Vietnam Youth Union of Nghe An province awarded the Emulation Flag of Outstanding Units in the work of the Union and youth movement in 2023 to 7 units; awarded Certificates of Merit to 8 units with outstanding achievements in the work of the Union and youth movement in 2023./.
