On the afternoon of January 17, the Criminal Police Department of the Provincial Police investigated and clarified a human trafficking ring to China led by Ngo Thi Co (49 years old, residing in Tan Hung commune, Tan Chau district, Tay Ninh), promptly rescuing 3 girls.

Co's accomplices

After many months of stalking, at 9:00 a.m. on January 16, at Mien Dong Bus Station, Ho Chi Minh City, Tay Ninh Provincial Police coordinated with the Criminal Police Department, Ministry of Public Security, and Ho Chi Minh City Police to catch Ngo Thi Co red-handed while preparing a car to take 3 girls TTY (31 years old, residing in Tam Nong district, Dong Thap), NTĐ (33 years old, residing in Trang Bang district) and TTDM (25 years old, residing in Tan Bien district, Tay Ninh) to Hanoi to be sold as wives to China.

At the same time, another working group coordinated with the Tan Chau and Duong Minh Chau District Police to arrest and urgently search 4 subjects in a large-scale human trafficking ring, including: Tran Thi Sy (aka "Chiec", 56 years old), Nguyen Thi Tam (30 years old, both living in Tan Chau district), Doan Thi Suong (46 years old) and Doan Thi Sanh (42 years old, both living in Duong Minh Chau district, Tay Ninh).

Object Yes

Through the investigation, the subjects confessed that in 2010, Co got married and lived in China. When she saw that some Chinese men living near her husband's house wanted to marry Vietnamese women, in 2015, Co returned to Vietnam and colluded with Sanh, Suong, Sy, and Tam to select Vietnamese women to sell to Chinese men as wives.

For each girl sold, Co paid 5 million VND to the person who introduced her and promised the victim's family from 45 to 60 million VND/person.

Object Suong

When he found a woman he liked, he went directly to Vietnam to pick her up and take her to China via Mong Cai Border Gate, Quang Ninh. In China, he sold her to men for 30,000 yuan (equivalent to 90 million VND).

By the time of his arrest, Co and his accomplices had sold 9 women, and the police had rescued 3 women.
