Pain, redness, watery eyes or irritation are common symptoms, but blurred vision, fatigue, dryness, soreness, and decreased vision are signs of dangerous eye diseases, warning of the risk of blindness.

Having poor vision and night blindness, Ms. Vu Thi Hoa, 53 years old, in Ba Dinh district, Hanoi, simply thought that poor eyesight was a natural part of old age. She did not feel any pain so she did not go to the doctor. When her eyes gradually blurred and she could not see clearly, she went to the Central Eye Hospital for examination and discovered that she had cataracts. If left untreated, she would go blind.

In a similar situation, Ms. Nguyen Thi Nguyet, 42 years old, in District 2, Ho Chi Minh City, decided to live with the disease because she thought her eyes were only slightly sensitive to light. When looking at someone, she only saw the person's shape but not the face clearly. When she went to the Eye Hospital, the doctor diagnosed her with dry macular degeneration, with a very high risk of blindness.

According to Professor, Doctor Do Nhu Hon, former Director of the Central Eye Hospital, Vice President of the Vietnam Ophthalmology Association, symptoms such as blurred vision, glare when looking at light, color vision, double vision or distorted, distorted images, blurred vision in the center of the image... are characteristics of cataracts, macular degeneration and dangerous retinal diseases that threaten vision, high risk of blindness, often requiring surgical intervention or application of specialized treatments - both costly and facing a high risk of complications with very limited recovery ability, sometimes impossible to treat.

Therefore, Professor Hon recommends that pain or irritation in the eyes are often not common symptoms of dangerous eye diseases, but painless signs such as blurred vision and impaired vision as above are scary warning signs. However, very few people know this.

Đau rát, đỏ, chảy nước mắt hoặc các kích ứng là triệu chứng thường gặp nhưng triệu chứng nhìn mờ, giảm thị lực mới là đặc trưng của bệnh mắt nguy hiểm
Pain, redness, watery eyes or irritation are common symptoms, but blurred vision or decreased vision are characteristic of dangerous eye diseases.

According to statistics from the Central Eye Hospital, the average rate of blindness in both eyes in Vietnam is 6/1,000 people. Of these, two-thirds are due to cataracts, one-third are due to macular degeneration and other diseases. In the group of people over 50 years old, there are over 2.2 million people with impaired visual function, 82% of people with eye diseases ignore the symptoms of the disease because of subjectivity, leading to blindness.

Professor Hon said that the cause of this condition is mostly due to patients being subjective with the symptoms of eye disease, thinking that decreased vision is just a sign of old age, and not going to see a doctor or get treatment. They do not know that, under the influence of harmful factors such as age, environmental pollution and blue light, the lifespan of the eyes is increasingly shortened and the risk of disease comes very early, from the age of 30.

Subjectivity and indifference to painless eye disease symptoms lead to a very high risk of blindness. Because the damage caused by macular degeneration and cataracts is actually serious damage to the lens and retina, the two most important parts that ensure the function of vision and vision of the eye. In particular, damage to the retina, especially the retinal pigment epithelial (RPE) cell layer, is irreversible.

Take proactive eye care from the inside out

Professor Hon emphasized that dangerous eye diseases often progress slowly but worsen rapidly, causing the patient to become permanently blind if there is no timely intervention. According to the World Health Organization, more than 75% of blindness cases can be prevented if there are measures to protect, care for, and treat eye diseases well, especially protecting the lens and retina. Therefore, proactive care and prevention of dangerous eye diseases play an extremely important role.

At the same time, recognizing early the decisive role of the lens and the pigment epithelial cell layer in vision, ophthalmologists have conducted in-depth research and discovered that the correct principle in preventing eye diseases that cause blindness is to proactively care for and protect the lens and retina early.

Tinh chất Broccophane thiên nhiên trong WIT có tác dụng tăng cường Thioredoxin ưu việt, giúp nuôi dưỡng mắt từ bên trong, phòng tránh các bệnh về mắt.
The natural Broccophane essence in WIT has the superior effect of enhancing Thioredoxin, helping to nourish the eyes from within, preventing eye diseases.

Thanks to advances in molecular biotechnology, scientists have recently discovered the presence of Thioredoxin - a small molecule protein present throughout the body but most concentrated in retinal pigment epithelial cells and the lens, capable of maintaining the balance of the lens's protein composition and ratio. At the same time, it helps slow down the aging process of the eyes and "stops dangerous eye diseases without causing pain, limits eye diseases and prevents blindness. This is considered a solution to protect and prevent dangerous eye diseases early.

Natural Broccophane essence (extracted from a type of broccoli rich in Sulforaphane) has been shown by scientific studies to help increase the natural synthesis of Thioredoxin, protect retinal pigment epithelial cells - RPE, limit eye diseases and prevent blindness.
