Volkswagen launches all-new T-Roc hybrid
Volkswagen officially launches the all-new T-Roc generation with groundbreaking design, modern technology and a diverse range of hybrid engines
The Volkswagen T-Roc has made a big mark for the German automaker. After many years of production, more than 2 million cars have been sold worldwide. Even in 2024, when the first generation is about to end its life cycle, sales still reached 292,000 units, second only to the Volkswagen Tiguan. That success paved the way for the appearance of the second generation T-Roc.
Design retains identity but is full of innovation
The overall appearance of the new T-Roc is still reminiscent of the previous generation, with a sloping roofline, wide pillars and muscular wheel arches. However, many details have been completely new.
The LED or IQ.Light matrix headlights feature a flatter design, a lowered grille, door-mounted side mirrors and taillight clusters stylized with prominent curves.

The car's dimensions have also increased significantly. The length has increased by 12 cm, reaching 4.37 meters, and the wheelbase has reached 2.63 meters. This makes the car more spacious and balanced.

The new T-Roc continues to target younger customers with six exterior color options, combined with a sporty black roof option. Wheels are varied, up to 20 inches. In addition to the standard version, the R-Line version is also launched, featuring sporty bumpers, separate wheels and glossy black trim details.
Engine technology and support systems
The model is developed on the improved MQB Evo platform. Currently, the new T-Roc is launched in Europe with a 1.5 eTSI mHEV petrol engine, with a capacity of 116 or 150 horsepower, accompanied by a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and front-wheel drive.

In the future, the car will have a 2.0 engine version, an optional four-wheel drive and an R sports variant. In particular, a full hybrid version is expected to be launched from 2026, combining a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with a hybrid module, for a total output of 136 or 170 horsepower. The lithium-ion battery is located under the rear seats, while the fuel tank is relocated between the wheels.

In addition to the powertrain, the new T-Roc also adds a series of driving assistance technologies. The new version of the Travel Assist system allows automatic lane change support. Park Assist Pro has the ability to memorize operations, automatically park the car at a distance of up to 50 meters and control remotely via phone.
Completely renovated interior
The cockpit has been redesigned with many distinct details. The dashboard is horizontal, the center console has a rotary knob similar to the new Tiguan. The traditional gear lever disappears, replaced by a switch located right under the steering wheel.

The 10-inch digital instrument panel no longer has a roof. Entertainment and climate control are controlled via a 10.4- or 12.9-inch touchscreen. The interior also has a backlight strip that runs through the door panels, creating a modern feel.

The increased size makes the cabin more comfortable. For the first time, the Style version has 14-way power-adjustable ErgoActive seats with massage function. The luggage compartment reaches 475 liters, an increase of 30 liters compared to the previous generation.
