(Baonghean.vn) - These young men explained that they ran up to make way for the wedding car to go first and thought it was a happy wedding day so they were not fined.

On the afternoon of April 12, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Duy Ha - Captain of the Traffic Police Team of Vinh City Police said that the unit had verified and summoned the young men who appeared in the clip on social media for questioning who did not wear helmets, lined up horizontally, and obstructed traffic.

The video clip was recorded by a traffic participant and posted on social networks.

“After receiving information from the media, the Vinh City Police Traffic Police Team went directly to the area appearing in the clip to determine the road section, extract camera footage, check license plates and use professional measures to identify the owners of the above vehicles,” said Lieutenant Colonel Ha.

After verifying the vehicle owner, the Vinh City Traffic Police Team summoned these people to work. Specifically, the driver of the motorbike with license plate 38D1-191.15 was Luu Van Do (born in 1989, residing in Hamlet 10, Nghi Lien Commune, Vinh City). The driver of the motorbike with license plate 37B2-676.08 was Luu Van Lam (born in 1999, residing in Hamlet 10, Nghi Lien Commune, Vinh City).

Reporting to the police, Do and Lam said that they were cousins. “On the morning of April 11, because of our younger brother’s wedding, we joined the bride procession from Nghi Thinh commune (Nghi Loc district) to hamlet 10 (Nghi Lien commune, Vinh city). When we reached the above road (K453 QL1A, hamlet 13, Nghi Lien commune), we and another vehicle (driver unknown) drove our motorbikes up to block the truck, making way for the bride’s car to go first,” the two young men said, realizing that their actions violated the Traffic Law, but they thought it was their younger brother’s happy day so it was okay.

The Vinh City Police Traffic Police Team has drawn up a record of administrative violations in the field of road traffic against these two young men for the acts of driving a motorbike without wearing a helmet and driving abreast.

Previously, on the afternoon of April 11, on the OtoFun Nghe An forum, a Facebook user named Nguyen Linh posted a status with pictures and a clip with the title "QL1A section through Nghi Loc this afternoon, taking the bride but the village men blocked a series of cars from passing...".

In the clip, three couples ride three motorbikes side by side on the road. It is worth noting that all of these young men are not wearing helmets and are driving in the inner lane reserved for cars.

Although the cars behind them honked and asked them to give way, the group of young men still refused. On the contrary, they continued to hang around as if to show defiance.

Through the above incident, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Duy Ha recommends that at weddings, although it is a happy day for the family, drivers participating in traffic need to comply with Traffic Laws, wear helmets, and not drink alcohol to make the joy complete.

Lieutenant Colonel Ha also suggested that local authorities need to have a commitment and propagate the Traffic Law to people when they come to register for marriage.
