After the 1-1 draw between Thanh Hoa and Nam Dinh, the referee team did not move into the technical room as usual but stayed in the middle of the field. Referee Tran Van Lap and his colleagues were strictly protected by security forces. The organizing committee and police representatives also quickly discussed to come up with necessary plans to ensure the safety of the referee team.
The referee team was escorted back to the hotel by the mobile police force and asked to have dinner on the hotel grounds to avoid any unexpected incidents.
