US President Donald Trump arrived in Beijing today, starting a three-day official visit to China. Mr. Trump and First Lady Melania Trump will have dinner in the Forbidden City, becoming the first foreign leader in history to be hosted there, Sky News reported.

President Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping are expected to meet and dine at the Jianfu Palace, but the exact location has not been confirmed. The building, built in the 18th century and restored in 2005, is one of the best preserved areas of the Forbidden City.

The US President arrived in China amid a dispute between the two countries over trade and China’s role in resolving the Korean Peninsula issue. Mr. Trump has frequently called on China to join efforts to force North Korea to end its weapons program. However, Pyongyang has shown no signs of backing down, despite international sanctions./.
