China advises the US “not to dig its own hole”
China has advised the United States to refrain from taking actions that may in one way or another further worsen bilateral trade relations between the two countries, official representative of China's Ministry of Commerce Gao Feng said at a meeting.

"We would like to recommend that the US avoid any actions that could harm trade and economic relations between the two countries, otherwise the US will only make others happy by digging its own grave," - the representative of the trade agency said.
According to him, as for the overall concerns about a possible escalation of trade friction between China and the US, Beijing has made its stance quite clear.
"We do not want a trade war, China is now actively developing partnerships around the world, is working to create a new model of international relations, in which cooperation takes into account the interests of all countries and is mutually beneficial."
