China installs 'Great Wall' to block dust
China is installing a 17-km-long dust-blocking system at ports in its Hebei province.

A 23-meter-high, 2,900-meter-long dust-blocking net is being assembled at the coal unloading area of Qinhuangdao Port Joint Stock Company in Hebei, China, QQ reported on January 3.
Once completed, it will be paired with a 5,000-meter-long barrier previously installed to surround mineral and coal loading yards at Qinhuangdao port.

At that time, the dust-blocking net system at the ports of Qinhuangdao, Caofeidian and Huanghua in Hebei province will have a total length of more than 17 km, becoming the largest dust-blocking net project in the world.
They will help prevent dust from the port's operating area, solving the problem of air pollution in the area surrounding the staging area.
