And according to the orders, Airbus will have to deliver the first shipment to China in 2017.
Since delivering its first A310 to China in 1985, Airbus today commands nearly 50% of the country's aviation market.
According to Airbus statistics, the number of civil aircraft in China has grown continuously and doubled compared to 2011.
Airbus experts estimate that over the next 20 years, the Chinese market will need about 5,300 aircraft, bringing potential value of up to 749 billion euros.
Faced with the potential of the country with the world's largest population, Airbus has been increasing its investment in China for many years. A typical example is the construction of a factory in Tianjin in 2008.
