China supports Vietnam to successfully organize APEC conference
According to Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Li Baodong, the presence of the Chinese President at the APEC Summit in Da Nang city shows China's great importance to regional cooperation.

Chinese officials at a press conference on November 3 said that Chinese President Xi Jinping's visit to Vietnam and Laos and his attendance at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit in Da Nang from November 10-14 is the first overseas trip by a Chinese leader since the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, which will contribute to strengthening cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region and relations with neighboring countries.
In addition, President Xi will also deliver a speech at the APEC CEO Summit, attend the APEC-ASEAN Informal High-Level Dialogue, and meet with leaders of other APEC economies.
As an important member of the APEC family, China firmly supports Vietnam in successfully organizing this conference, and hopes that APEC 2017 in Da Nang will continue to follow the trend of openness and common development in the Asia-Pacific region, exploit new growth drivers in the region, strengthen connectivity and present new perspectives on future cooperation.
China pledges to work closely with all relevant parties to promote development and prosperity in the region and the world.
On economic and trade issues, Chinese Vice Minister of Commerce Wang Shouwen hopes that this meeting will ratify the “APEC Cross-Border E-Commerce Framework Agreement,” and outline the “APEC Supply Chain Connectivity Action Plan Monitoring Framework.”
In addition, APEC 2017 is expected to further implement the results achieved at the 2014 APEC Summit in Beijing, continue to promote the development of the Asia-Pacific Free Trade Area, and support a multilateral trading system.
Regarding Chinese President Xi Jinping's state visit to Vietnam and Laos from November 12 to 14, Chinese Assistant Foreign Minister Chen Xiaodong said that this visit will open a new chapter of China's special neighborly diplomacy in the new era, and will also be the beginning of a new level of China's special neighborly diplomacy in the new era.
During his visit to Vietnam, the Chinese President will meet with General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee Nguyen Phu Trong, President Tran Dai Quang, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, and Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan.
At these meetings, leaders of the two countries will discuss national governance policies, development strategies, economic cooperation and cultural exchanges.
The visit to Laos is the first state visit by a top Chinese leader to Laos since 2006. During the visit, President Xi Jinping will meet with General Secretary of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Central Committee and President Bounnhang Vorachit, Prime Minister Thongloun Sisoulith and National Assembly Chairwoman Pany Yathotu.
Leaders of the two countries will also attend the foundation-laying ceremony of a livelihood project built with Chinese support.
According to Mr. Tran Hieu Dong, the two visits to Vietnam and Laos will open up new opportunities and add positive momentum to bilateral relations as well as mutually beneficial cooperation between China and ASEAN countries./.
