China provides Vietnam with 1.5 million USD to overcome storm consequences

Chinese President Xi Jinping today announced material aid equivalent to 1.5 million USD to help Vietnam overcome the consequences of the storm.

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc met with Chinese President Xi Jinping today as part of his state visit to Vietnam, according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc welcomed President Xi Jinping's state visit to Vietnam and attendance at the 2017 APEC Summit right after the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.

The Chinese President expressed his pleasure in visiting Vietnam again and attending the APEC Summit right after the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and highly appreciated the organization of the host Vietnam at the 2017 APEC Summit.

Mr. Tap announced material aid worth 10 million yuan (about 1.5 million USD) to help Vietnam support disaster relief.

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc expressed his gratitude and said that Vietnam attaches importance to the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership with China, which is a consistent policy, a strategic choice, and a top priority in Vietnam's foreign policy.

Vietnam welcomes and facilitates Chinese enterprises to implement large projects with advanced technology, environmentally friendly, representing China's development level, especially in the fields of infrastructure, manufacturing industry, clean energy, high-tech agriculture, and suggests that the two sides effectively implement the connection between the "Two Corridors, One Belt" framework and the "Belt and Road" initiative, improve and upgrade the infrastructure system, especially the infrastructure in the border areas of the two countries.

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc suggested that both sides persistently resolve disputes by peaceful means, in accordance with international law, including the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.

President Xi Jinping affirmed that China attaches great importance to consolidating and developing the friendly neighborly relationship and comprehensive cooperation with Vietnam, believing that the stable and healthy development of China-Vietnam relations is in line with the interests of the two countries and the aspirations of the two peoples.
