China considers granting fast visas to Vietnamese fans to cheer on U23 team
The Chinese Embassy has been asked to provide special assistance to quickly issue visas for Vietnamese fans to go to Changzhou to support the team.

GrandfatherNNguyen Minh Vu - Director of the Consular Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam this morning when meetingrepresentatives of the Chinese Embassy in Hanoidelivered a diplomatic note requesting China's support in licensing flights to bring Vietnamese fans to Changzhou on January 27, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.
Accordingly, Vietnam asked China to grant permission for the airline's flights.Vietnam Airlines and Vietjet Air have allowed fans to attend and cheer for the Vietnamese football team in the final match of the AFC U23 Championship in Changzhou, Jiangzhou province.
Mr. Vu also asked Chinese diplomatic missions in Vietnam to consider providing special support in quickly handling visa application procedures for Vietnamese citizens entering China on this occasion.
The Chinese representative office in Vietnam hasforward Vietnam's request to the country for settlement as soon as possible.
The Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs also directed the Vietnamese Embassy in China and the Vietnamese Consulate General in Shanghai to contact Chinese authorities to request early issuance of flight permits for relevant flights.
Vietnamese Ambassador to China Dang Minh Khoi and Vietnamese Consul General in Shanghai Nguyen Thanh Mai visited and congratulated the Vietnam U23 football team after the team won against Qatar to advance to the final.
