Russian Lieutenant General: Ukraine's counteroffensive will be completely 'blown away' by mid-September
(Baonghean.vn) - Lieutenant General Yevgeny Buzhinsky, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Russian Center for Political Research, commented that Ukraine will adjust its attack within a maximum of one month, and by mid-September, this attack will be completely "blown away" by the Russian army.

Commenting on the fact that Ukraine has launched its most elite and last armed unit to the front, Lieutenant General Yevgeny Buzhinsky, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Russian Center for Political Studies, said that Ukraine's counteroffensive was planned mediocrely.
“If the Armed Forces of Ukraine really have no strategic reserves left, then sending the last two assault brigades to the front would be a desperate gesture, because it is simply impossible to break through the Russian defense line in the south,” Lieutenant General Yevgeny Buzhinsky said.
The Russian Lieutenant General assessed that the 82nd Air Assault Brigade of Ukraine has only 12 Challenger 2 tanks and 2,000 soldiers, which is too few, while the Ukrainian Armed Forces used to operate with 40,600 soldiers.
Explaining Ukraine’s failures, the Russian Lieutenant General said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces abandoned the old Soviet offensive school and instead adopted American warfare tactics, but did not receive adequate support, especially without air superiority and air defense superiority. “All this has become a gamble,” said Lieutenant General Yevgeny Buzhinsky.
Explaining the purpose of sending the last strategic reserve to the front, the Russian Lieutenant General said that Ukrainian President Zelensky and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Zaluzhny desperately needed a success. The Ukrainian army would adjust its offensive for a maximum of a month, until mid-September. After that, it would run out of strength and be "blown away" by the Russian army.
Regarding predictions that the West is considering a spring offensive for Ukraine, the Lieutenant General said that the West is revealing its weak analytical skills.
“They supplied 12 fighter jets to Ukraine. And over the past 18 months, Ukraine has lost 460 aircraft. This is not the scale of assistance. If the West really wants to overwhelm Ukraine with weapons, it must be done seriously. If tanks are supplied, then firstly, they must be of the same type; secondly, hundreds of them must be provided for the Ukrainian Armed Forces to carry out their tasks. Similarly, aircraft are needed, at least 200-300, and preferably 400,” said Lieutenant General Yevgeny Buzhinsky.
The Russian Lieutenant General said that Western leaders need to look for a political solution to the conflict, to start negotiations. Because autumn is approaching, and a harsh winter is ahead. According to meteorologists, this year's winter in Europe will be much colder than last year. In Ukraine, the energy infrastructure has been destroyed. And in 2024, elections will begin in the United States.
