F1 case from Da Nang to Nghe An, traveling to many places, has Covid-19 test results

Early morning of May 10, Mr. Ho Sy Duong - Director of Hoang Mai Town Medical Center said that another F1 case in the area had just tested negative for Covid-19. This case is a young man, from Da Nang City.

Previously, on the afternoon of May 9, this young man went to the Health Station to declare himself as F1 because he had contact with a Covid-19 patient. Upon receiving the information, Nghe An CDC stepped in to verify. The results showed that during his time in Da Nang, he had close contact with a person who later tested positive for Covid-19. This case has not been announced by the Ministry of Health.

Hoang Mai Town Medical Center immediately quarantined this F1 overnight, and issued an urgent notice about a series of locations this person had visited, requesting people who had been to these locations to immediately contact the nearest medical facility.

As of this morning, authorities have traced 25 people in contact with this F1, of which 10 people have had their samples taken for testing.

Some high-risk F1s such as the patient's wife and children have tested negative twice. In addition, more than 2,200 F2s have also tested negative. Currently, the health agency is still urgently taking samples to test the remaining F2s and cases returning from the K3 Tan Trieu Hospital outbreak.
