Quy Hop 3 High School: Creating a solid foundation for the future of youth

(Baonghean) - After 15 years of construction and development, Quy Hop 3 High School has strived to overcome difficulties and improve the quality of teaching and learning. The school's position has gradually been affirmed, creating a solid trust among cadres and people of all ethnic groups in the district.

Exactly 15 years ago, on the land of Quang Minh hamlet, Chau Quang commune, Quy Hop district, Quy Hop Ethnic Minority High School (now Quy Hop 3 High School) was officially established according to Decision No. 5081/QD.UB-TC dated December 27, 2001 of the Provincial People's Committee.

Overcoming initial difficulties and shortages, with the care and support of district and provincial departments and agencies, and the enthusiastic support of both material and spiritual resources from the district's cadres and people, on September 5, 2002, the school officially entered its first school year. At the beginning of its establishment, the whole school had only 18 cadres and teachers with 373 students, teachers and students studying in small, narrow level 4 rooms. Because there were not enough rooms for 2 shifts, the school had to borrow afternoon classrooms at Chau Quang Secondary School.

Following the teaching of beloved Uncle Ho, "No matter how difficult it is, we must continue to compete to teach well and study well", the team of managers and teachers mobilized all resources to invest in building spacious classrooms and innovating teaching and learning methods, creating a proud development in the career of "growing people" in the area.

Over the past fifteen years, the Department of Education and Training has invested tens of billions of VND, combined with resources contributed by parents and former students, to build a spacious Quy Hop 3 High School with many modern facilities to meet the needs of teaching and learning. Currently, the school has a 3-storey building with 18 classrooms, functional rooms, a principal's house and a dormitory with 20 rooms, a clean and cozy kitchen.

The school campus is surrounded by a solid fence system, a brick and concrete school yard, covered with green trees, creating a green, clean and beautiful landscape. The school is preparing to build an additional 3-storey building with classrooms, functional rooms and laboratories.

The school currently has 27 classes with 982 students, of which more than 82% are ethnic minority children; there is a team of 68 cadres and civil servants, including 1 PhD, 11 masters, 1 teacher studying for a master's degree, 6 teachers who are excellent teachers at the provincial level. The team of teachers is experienced, dedicated to their profession, competing to complete their professional tasks well. Many teachers set good examples in the movement to build a friendly school, lovingly helping students with difficult circumstances to strive to achieve high academic achievements.

In recent years, the school has had many solutions to improve the quality of teaching and learning. In particular, it focuses on innovating the work of testing and evaluating students; implementing teaching according to knowledge and skills standards and teaching closely to the subject; classifying and arranging remedial lessons for weak students; having a plan and implementing early the work of fostering excellent students.

Thanks to that, the quality of teaching and learning at the school in recent years has made breakthroughs: the rate of students achieving good and excellent results has increased, and the rate of poor results has decreased compared to the previous year; the annual graduation rate is over 98%. Over the past fifteen years, the school has trained more than 3,000 graduates, many of whom have gone on to study at major universities, and some have become engineers, doctors, teachers, police officers, etc.

In particular, the school not only focuses on the quality of training but also on career orientation and orientation, and at the same time cooperates with other units to orient the future for students right from high school. Currently, the school has cooperated with the Institute of New Technology to send students to study abroad under a scholarship program in Thailand; cooperated with vocational training units to provide intermediate vocational training for students right from high school so that after graduation, they can work professionally; cooperated with study abroad units to teach foreign languages ​​for free and orient students after graduating from high school.

The school also focuses on innovating methods of testing student quality.

Along with improving the quality of teaching and learning, the emulation movements are organized and implemented by the school regularly, practically, and effectively every month of the year with diverse and innovative forms of activities, which are actively and effectively responded to by teachers and students. Through these movements, the quality of education is improved day by day.

In recognition of the efforts of the staff, teachers and students, the school was honored to receive a certificate of merit from the Ministry of Education and Training for the movement "Building a friendly school, active students", for many consecutive years it has been an advanced unit of the industry, the Party cell has achieved the title of a clean and strong Party cell for many years, the organizations: Trade Union, Youth Union are classified as excellent and advanced every year and many other achievements. The position of the school has gradually been affirmed, creating a solid trust in the staff and people of all ethnic groups in the district. The school is honored to welcome distinguished guests and many delegations and delegates to visit and study.

After 15 years of construction and striving, although the achievements are not much, it is the result of the tireless efforts of all staff, teachers and students of the school. 15 years is just the beginning, but it is also a full and solid preparation for the next stages of development.

On the occasion of the 15th anniversary of its establishment, Quy Hop 3 High School was honored to receive a Certificate of Merit from the Provincial People's Committee; 1 comrade received a Certificate of Merit from the Ministry of Education and Training for excellent performance of tasks; 9 comrades received Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for their outstanding achievements in education and training.
