Trang Son Primary School constantly improves the quality of teaching and learning.
(Baonghean) - Celebrating Vietnamese Teachers' Day this year, Trang Son Primary School is pleased to receive the title of National Standard Level 2.This is a great joy for teachers and students, the Party Committee and people of Trang Son commune.
Trang Son Primary School is located about 2 km west of Do Luong district center. As a commune with a large population (nearly 10,000 people) and many schools, in order to ensure educational activities, in previous years, the commune encountered many difficulties in investing and concentrating resources to improve the quality of education.
Realizing this shortcoming, with the attention and direction of the district, the Party Committee and the communal government have taken drastic measures to mobilize people to join hands and contribute. Thanks to that, the educational facilities of Trang Son commune have been gradually invested and upgraded, creating a premise for teachers and students at all levels to gradually make efforts to improve the quality of education and training in the commune.

Back in the 1990s, when primary schools were separated from secondary schools, Trang Son Primary School had 34 classes, studying at 4 locations in 4 areas of the commune. In 2000, to build a school that met national standards, Trang Son Primary School was divided into 2 schools: Trang Son Primary School 1 and Trang Son Primary School 2. With great efforts, in the 2001-2002 school year, Trang Son Primary School 1 was recognized as meeting national standards level 1.
Then, in the 2005-2006 school year, Trang Son 2 Primary School was also recognized as meeting national standards level 1, contributing to Trang Son becoming one of the first communes to meet national standards for primary education. In the 2006-2007 school year, implementing the policy of the superiors, the two schools were merged into one, but the problem was that students had to study in two places, in which the satellite school was located in hamlet 13 and the main school was located in hamlet 8.
At this time, the biggest difficulty of the Party Committee and people of Trang Son commune as well as the school is to move the satellite school into the main school. Although the benefits are great, because of the fear of their children going to school far away, many parents are still hesitant and consider the pros and cons. In order for people to understand and accept the policy of the above, the Party Committee has mobilized, even fought ideologically to change old habits, and together with the people, strived to overcome difficulties. After receiving the people's support, the Party Congress of the commune for the term 2010 - 2015 set the goal of mobilizing people's strength to build a high-rise building with 12 classrooms within 3 years.
With the strong direction of the Party Committee and the communal government, after 3 years of investment and construction, 12 spacious high-rise classrooms worth 5.7 billion VND were inaugurated and put into use. This is the basis for the 2015-2016 school year when the school will bring all students to study together at one location, thereby focusing on improving professional quality.

Promoting that achievement and to further improve the quality of education, the school actively consulted with the locality on the plan to build a school that meets national standards at level 2. Based on a clear analysis of the advantages and difficulties and a roadmap, the Party Congress of the commune for the 2015-2020 term set a target of striving for the primary school to meet national standards at level 2 in 2017. At that time, because the new building did not have a playground, the demand for boarding students was high, the school did not have a kitchen, the old office building was too cramped, not ensuring professional activities, so to meet the standards, the locality had to solve a series of problems arising related to facilities.
The commune has proactively called on local businesses to invest. Right in the 2015-2016 school year, the commune started to build a 5-room boarding kitchen; at the same time, it installed Block bricks in the school yard. With great determination, in the summer of 2016, the commune continued to approve the project to build a new school office building. After 4 months of construction, by October 2016, the project was completed and put into use.

Next, to give the children a playground, the school advised to expand the campus by filling in the low-lying land behind and rebuilding the surrounding wall. In just a short time, with the support of parents and the drastic management of the Commune People's Committee, the school yard expanded from 5,800 m2 to nearly double to 10,526 m2; the surrounding wall was complete, ensuring the children's playing activities.
Faced with the current situation of 12 old classrooms built in 1994 - 1996 being degraded, the school consulted and proposed the Commune People's Committee to invest in renovation. With the support of the locality, the renovation work was actively implemented right from the first days of summer 2017. On the first day of school, the new school year 2017 - 2018, the old multi-storey building was put into use, making the school landscape more spacious and uniform. Currently, the school has a total of 21 rooms/20 classrooms and full functional rooms.
Thus, in 6 years, the commune has paid attention and mobilized nearly 10 billion VND to build and complete the school's facilities. With these conditions and professional efforts, based on the inspection and evaluation of the Department of Education and Training, on June 16, 2017, the People's Committee of Nghe An province issued Decision No. 2603/QD.UBND recognizing Trang Son Primary School as meeting National standards level 2. This is a great joy for teachers and students, the Party Committee and people of Trang Son commune.
