The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has just announced a list of 77 artists approved by the specialized council to be submitted to the State council for recognition of the title of People's Artist and Meritorious Artist in the 9th period.
Many artists have been considered by the Council for consideration of the title of People's Artist, Meritorious Artist such as Cong Ly, Bui Cuong, Thu Ha,... but there are also many artists who have not met the criteria. Singer Ho Quynh Huong is the same, although she was previously approved by the Council of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as an actress singing at the Vietnam National Music and Dance Theater.

Sharing about not being approved by the specialized council to propose the title of Meritorious Artist, singer Ho Quynh Huong said: "Being nominated for the title of Meritorious Artist is already a great joy for me."
"I really don't pay much attention to the title. My profile has always been in the Theater. When I was informed that my profile was sent, I was very happy. At that time, I thought that whether I got it or not, it was still a valuable recognition from the leaders and colleagues," Ho Quynh Huong shared.
According to Ho Quynh Huong, she does not feel sad or regretful for not being recognized with the title of Meritorious Artist this time. "Maybe the professional council has its own criteria that I have not met. For an artist, having a title is a precious thing, it is a recognition of one's contribution to the profession. But maybe I have not contributed enough so this time I have not received it. I respect the decision of the professional council and think that I need to try harder," Ho Quynh Huong expressed.
Previously, on July 2, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism posted a list of 77 dossiers proposing the title of People's Artist and 303 dossiers proposing the title of Meritorious Artist with a 90% approval rate of the total number of members of the State-level specialized council to solicit public opinions before the State-level specialized council completed the dossiers to submit to the State-level council according to regulations.
