Arrest and extradition to Nghe An of a fugitive wanted for 23 years for murder

The wanted subject is Pham Duc Binh (born in 1976, residing in Quang Tien ward, Thai Hoa town, Nghe An province). Binh was wanted by the Nghe An Police Department on July 11, 1998 for murder. According to case documents, in June 1988, Pham Duc Binh's group of 4 people built a logging shack in Tep village, Chau Nga commune, Quy Chau district.
On the afternoon of June 24, 1998, Binh's group drank alcohol with another group. During the drinking process, the two had an accident.conflictleading to a fight. Binh's group used weapons to beat Le Van Long (from Quynh Luu) to death, and several others were injured. After committing the crime, the police successfully arrested 3 subjects while Binh escaped.
Pham Duc Binh's case file was thoroughly verified by wanted criminals. In mid-December 2020, after verifying the suspect's information, the Criminal Police Department sent a working group to coordinate with the Criminal Police Department of Tay Ninh Province to arrest the suspect. On the afternoon of December 18, the working group successfully arrested Pham Duc Binh.
After completing the procedures, the police transferred the subject to Nghe An and handed him over to the competent authority for handling.
