Memorial service and burial of martyrs' remains after 49 years of sacrifice
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of October 19, the Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Fatherland Front Committee, the people of Hong Son commune and the Duong Cong family held a ceremony to receive, pay their respects and bury the remains of martyr Duong Cong Son from Dong Le cemetery, Tuyen Hoa district, Quang Binh province to his hometown martyr cemetery for burial after 49 years of separation.
Martyr Duong Cong Son was born on April 20, 1948 in Hong Son commune, Do Luong district, enlisted on November 20, 1965, with the rank of Sergeant, position of Squad Leader of Platoon 3 - Company 6 - Battalion 2 - Station 12, Group 559.

Born into a family with a rich revolutionary tradition, while in high school, comrade Duong Cong Son volunteered to go to the army to defend the Fatherland.
Having gone through many difficult battles and achieved many feats, he was wounded in Na Pong - Xieng Khouang, Lao PDR, and died on December 7, 1969, at the age of 21.

Up to now, after 49 years of resting at Dong Le Cemetery, Tuyen Hoa District, Quang Binh Province, the Party Committee, the government, departments, branches, organizations and family have brought the remains of martyr Duong Cong Son back to his hometown. The ceremony to receive the remains of the martyr was held solemnly and respectfully.
Immediately after the memorial service, the martyr's remains were buried at the Do Luong District Martyrs' Cemetery in the infinite grief and gratitude of his comrades, Party committees, authorities at all levels and local people.
