Calling on hundreds of young people online and promising to pay 100,000 - 400,000 VND to avenge his juniors, the ringleader Duong Dai Tri was issued a nationwide wanted notice by the police.

On July 17, the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department announced that it had detained a total of 106 people related to the orange-shirted gang that vandalized the Oc Huong restaurant in Binh Tan district, and issued a nationwide wanted notice for the ringleader, Duong Dai Tri (aka Tri "Nham", 30 years old) and many others.
Tri and four of his juniors, Le Ngoc Dang Khoa (aka Khoa "Dien", 26 years old); Mai Nguyen Xuan Thanh (24 years old); Nguyen Ngoc Tuyen (aka Teo "Quan 6", 36 years old) and Phan Vinh Thuan (18 years old) were all prosecuted and wanted for the crimes of Intentionally causing injury, Property destruction and Disturbing public order.

Previously, the police had arrested Tran Thanh Tuan (aka Tuan "B", 35 years old) - Tri "Nham's" rival, while hiding in the Central region. According to the investigation, on June 3, in An Lac A ward (Binh Tan district), a fight broke out between two groups of female students. Standing outside watching, Ho Chi Linh (29 years old, Tuan "B's" junior, a gangster in Binh Tan district) was called "mean" by Nguyen Xuan Thanh (implying that men do not stop girls from fighting). The two sides used harsh words to threaten each other.

Thanh returned home and called many friends to come to Linh's house in An Lac A ward to beat her up and threatened to burn down the house, but they didn't meet him. Linh then went online to curse Thanh and threatened to "deal with him".
Listening to Linh's story, Tuan "B" called on dozens of people to gather at the highway ramp in Binh Chanh district to avenge his juniors. Although Tuan and Thanh's boss (Tri "Nham") were friends before, often drinking and singing karaoke together. This group brought many weapons, telling each other to take off their shirts to easily distinguish "us - enemies" when looking for Thanh's group.

However, this plan was discovered and stopped by the Criminal Police Department. Thanh asked Tri "Nham" to help. Tri went online to call on a crowd of 14-16 year old teenagers, promising to give them 100,000-400,000 VND to fight. This group bought orange shirts (football players' training shirts) to easily distinguish them from their opponents, and came from all over to the Oc Huong restaurant (Tuan "B"'s favorite restaurant). Not seeing Tuan, they shouted, cursed, smashed the restaurant, and then left.

"This group is mostly teenagers under 16 years old, wandering around, from other provinces and cities, not gangsters. In addition to those detained, the investigation agency is considering leniency for many children who have turned themselves in," said Colonel Nguyen Dang Nam - Head of the Criminal Police Department.
According to Mr. Nam, this case shows that crime is getting younger due to the lack of attention and education from families and local authorities. "Of course, the police are responsible for security and order, but through this we see that we really need the participation and cooperation of the whole society," said the Head of the Criminal Police Department.
