On the afternoon of May 8, Quy Chau district held a ceremony to posthumously award a Certificate of Merit from the Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee to Luong Manh Tuan at his home in Ke Ninh village, Chau Hanh commune.

Previously, on the afternoon of April 18,Tuan and his brother Luong Bao KhanhKhanh and Ha Nhat Anh went swimming together in the Luoc Lau area of ​​Hieu River. Both Khanh and Anh studied at Chau Hanh 2 Primary School, Chau Hanh Commune, Quy Chau District. While swimming, Khanh and Anh slipped into a deep hole in the river. Seeing this, Luong Manh Tuan swam out to save the two children. After pushing the two children to safety, Tuan was exhausted and was swept away by the current.

Luong Manh Tuan is a student of class 7A3, Hanh Thiet Secondary School, Quy Chau district and lives in Ke Ninh village, Chau Hanh commune, Quy Chau district.

Authorized by the Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Le Thanh Ha - Vice Chairman of Quy Chau District People's Committee directly visited the family and presented the Certificate of Merit to Luong Manh Tuan's family. At the ceremony, Mr. Ha deeply shared the pain and loss of the family. Currently, the Provincial People's Committee has completed the dossier to submit to the Central level to posthumously award the Medal of Courage to Luong Manh Tuan.
