From today, March 28, Nghe An bans gatherings of more than 10 people to fight the Covid-19 epidemic
(Baonghean.vn) - The Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province will consider and strictly discipline the heads of local authorities who allow large gatherings to occur.
On March 27, the Provincial People's Committee issued an urgent document to departments, branches, organizations and localities in the province regarding the implementation of Directive No. 15/CP-TTg on Covid-19 prevention and control.
Accordingly, Nghe An province will apply measures to limit large gatherings from 0:00 today, March 28, until the end of April 15 throughout the province. Stop meetings and events with more than 20 people per room; do not gather in groups of 10 or more outside of offices, schools, and hospitals; Require a minimum distance of 2 meters between people in public places.

The Provincial People's Committee also assigned the Department of Culture, Sports and the Department of Home Affairs to direct the complete suspension of religious ceremonies and activities with gatherings of 20 people or more at religious, belief and worship establishments; and to stop all cultural, sports and entertainment activities at public places.
The Department of Industry and Trade shall preside over and coordinate with relevant units to advise the Provincial People's Committee on deciding on business establishments and essential goods and services that are allowed to operate under the direction of the Prime Minister. Implement measures to restrict the movement of people, especially from epidemic-affected provinces and cities into the province.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee will consider and strictly discipline the heads of local authorities who allow large gatherings to occur.
In addition, the People's Committee of Nghe An province also assigned departments, branches and localities to urgently review, request medical declaration, update health status, and screen cases that have entered Vietnam at border gates in the province since March 8, 2020, not subject to centralized quarantine, to apply appropriate quarantine and monitoring measures.
The People's Committees of districts, cities and towns direct wards, communes, towns, commune police, youth volunteers in the area, residential groups, villages... to strengthen the supervision of cases of home quarantine, minimize communication between subjects recommended for medical quarantine; enforce medical quarantine for cases of resistance to quarantine according to regulations.

Continue to strictly control all cases of entry on the border with Laos, waterways, sea routes, and airports. Strengthen capacity in terms of human resources and facilities to ensure centralized quarantine for all cases of entry; focus on ensuring the safety of immigration management forces, working at border gates, centralized quarantine areas and other civil quarantine facilities. Have a reasonable plan to regulate the reception, classification and screening of entrants to ensure that centralized quarantine facilities on the land border are not overloaded.

The Provincial Police and the Departments of Health, Information and Communications, Industry and Trade, and Market Management Department are assigned to strictly handle, including handling according to criminal law, cases of reporting false news, failing to declare health, making dishonest health declarations; evading, resisting, not complying with medical isolation measures; hoarding goods, increasing prices, causing market instability in accordance with the provisions of law.
