Commander of Military Region 4 inspects storm prevention work No. 3

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of August 19, Major General Nguyen Tan Cuong, member of the Party Central Committee and Commander of Military Region 4, inspected storm prevention work No. 3 in Dien Bich and Dien Ngoc communes, Dien Chau district, Nghe An province. Also on the inspection was Colonel Ha Tan Tien, Commander of the Nghe An Provincial Military Command.

These are two coastal communes of Dien Chau district with over 3,000 fishermen fishing nearshore and offshore, at risk of great loss of life and property caused by storm No. 3. Through actual inspections at the boat mooring points of the two communes of Dien Bich and Dien Ngoc, together with the report of the Flood and Storm Prevention Committee of Dien Chau district, it is shown that currently, 100 boats of fishermen have returned to anchor at storm shelters to ensure safety. The Flood and Storm Prevention Committee of Dien Chau district has also proactively deployed full forces and means to prepare for storm No. 3 rescue, ready to handle any situations that may arise.

The Commander of Military Region 4 noted that, in the face of the complicated developments of storm No. 3, the Flood and Storm Prevention Committee of Nghe An province and Dien Chau district need to proactively monitor and grasp the situation, mobilize forces to be ready to help people in key areas evacuate when situations arise and overcome the consequences caused by the storm to ensure absolute safety for people and property.
