What will happen between now and the day the US President-elect is sworn in?
The US President-elect will be sworn in on January 20, 2021, and a lot will happen between now and then.
According to US media, Democratic candidate Joe Biden has won enough 270 electoral votes to be elected President, although the vote counting process has not yet ended in all states.

The President-elect will be sworn into office on January 20, 2021. Here's what happens from Election Day to Inauguration Day.
November 3:Although millions of Americans voted early or by mail weeks before Election Day, U.S. law requires Election Day to officially take place on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November. Ballots also begin to be counted on Election Day.
4-23/11:Mail-in ballots must be postmarked by November 3 or earlier in most states, but they can be delivered late and are still being counted in many states.
10/11-11/12:States certify election results.
8/12:According to the Electoral College Act, this is the deadline for states to finish counting votes, resolve disputes and determine the winner of the state's electoral votes.
14/12:The electors officially vote for president and vice president. By law, this date is the first Monday after the second Wednesday in December. This year, it falls on December 14.
23/12:The electoral votes will be gathered in Washington, D.C. They have nine days to be transported from the states to the Capitol.
3/1/2021:New House members and Senate members were sworn in this afternoon, officially starting the 117th Congress.
6/1/2021:The President of the Senate (currently Vice President Mike Pence) presides over the session of Congress, and the electoral votes are read and counted in alphabetical order by designated people from each chamber. The results are then submitted to Pence, who announces the results. There are 538 electoral votes. If no candidate gets the 270 votes needed to win, the 435 members of the House of Representatives decide the election. The House has until the afternoon of January 20 to choose.who will be president. If the House cannot reach a decision, the next president becomes the vice president or the next eligible person in the line of presidential succession.
