The Hanh Dich Border Post force was commanded by Captain Nguyen Manh Hung, Deputy Station Chief; the friendly force was in charge by Major Phon Xa Van, Captain of Company 216. The bilateral patrol force conducted a closed patrol of the Vietnam - Laos border from the area of landmark No. 369 (at an altitude of 1,370m above sea level) to the area of landmark No. 370 (at an altitude of 1,560m above sea level), with a length of more than 5 km.
Patrol forces from both sides overcame difficulties in weather (damp fog) and difficult terrain to check the status of border markers, clear bushes to improve visibility and clean up around the border marker area, and exchange information related to border protection work...
The two sides have properly implemented principles, protocols and procedures in foreign affairs activities.
As a result, the border markers were not moved and the border markers were kept intact and safe.
