Nghe An youth offer incense and commemorate heroic martyrs
(Baonghean.vn) - On July 26, commemorating the 73rd anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2020), the delegation of Nghe An Provincial Youth Union organized a flower and incense offering ceremony at the Vietnam - Laos International Martyrs Cemetery and organized a "Candlelighting Ceremony" program at Truong Bon National Historical Site.

Located on Route 15A, during the resistance war against the US, Truong Bon was a vital traffic axis, becoming a fierce bombardment point of the US imperialists. 52 years ago, in the heroic land of Truong Bon (October 31, 1968), 13 Youth Volunteers of Company 317 - Team 65 of the Youth Volunteers General Team against the US to save the country in Nghe An province heroically sacrificed their lives while performing the task of connecting the traffic bloodline from the rear to the southern battlefield.
Your achievements and sacrifices have contributed significantly to the great victory of our nation in the resistance war against the US to save the country and liberate the nation.

On the same afternoon, the delegation offered incense at the Vietnam - Laos International Martyrs Cemetery (Anh Son District), the resting place of more than 11,000 officers, volunteer soldiers and military experts who died on the battlefield in Laos. In this cemetery, there are currently about 6,900 graves with unknown names and hometowns and 570 graves with names but unknown hometowns.
