Highland youth cook free rice to support poor candidates

(Baonghean.vn) - In order to promptly encourage and support candidates participating in the high school graduation exam, Tuong Duong youth organized meaningful activities such as: Providing free water, milk, and motorbikes, giving gifts and, of course, organizing free meals for candidates in difficult circumstances.

In the 2023 high school graduation exam, in Tuong Duong district, there are 2 exam sites with a total of 417 candidates. Tuong Duong district has a large area and a sparse population, so to get to the exam sites, many candidates have to travel almost all day. Therefore, most of them have to stay in rented accommodation to take the exam. Many of them have difficult family circumstances. Knowing this, every exam, the youth of Tuong Duong district has many activities to motivate the candidates. To carry out this activity, Tuong Duong District Youth Union has cooperated with a local restaurant, asking for the location and supplies; asking the restaurant to support shopping and cooking to ensure both food rations and nutrition. As a student who has just returned to her hometown for summer vacation, but when she heard that the District Youth Union organized activities to cook and give free rice to candidates, student Khanh Linh, from Thach Giam town, Tuong Duong district, voluntarily registered to participate. Khanh Linh said: "Before, when I took the exam, I was enthusiastically supported by the Youth Union members, so I felt much more confident, thanks to that I did better on the test. This time when I came back for summer vacation, I volunteered to participate to give more motivation to the candidates". Through research, it is known that the family of contestant Oc Thi Vui (Khơ Mú ethnic group), in Yen Son village, Yen Na commune, is poor. Her house is far from the exam site, so she had to rent a room to stay during the exam. Oc Thi Vui said: “My parents were busy, so I went to the exam with my friends.
