Polish general proposes deportation of Ukrainian citizens of military age
(Baonghean.vn) - Polish General Waldemar Skrzypczak has called on the Polish government and other European countries to help Kiev in mobilizing and deporting Ukrainian men of military age.

According to RT, in late January, former Ground Forces commander General Waldemar Skrzypczak made a proposal: to support Ukraine, the Polish government should deport all Ukrainian men of military age currently living on Polish territory. According to him, other countries, such as France or the Czech Republic, could "follow suit".
“This must be an initiative addressed to the governments in Warsaw, Paris, Prague, wherever the Ukrainians of military age are. These governments must help Kiev carry out the deportation,” the Polish general urged.
Commenting on the idea of the former Ground Forces commander, the Polish Foreign Ministry said in a statement: "Regarding the issues of mobilizing Ukrainian troops abroad, including in Poland, we are aware of the current situation and the problems that arise for the Ukrainian side. We are considering how we can support Kiev. We believe that the optimal solution would be to resolve these issues at the European level.
According to Eurostat data for November 2023, since the start of the Ukrainian conflict, 650,000 Ukrainians of military age have emigrated to EU member states. Conversely, according to the United Nations, a total of about 6.5 million people, including women and children, have left Ukraine since the conflict began.
Meanwhile, according to the AP news agency, in 2023, Kiev began recruiting Latin American mercenaries to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The officer of the coordination department of the foreign legion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Shakhuri, said that in 2023, the Armed Forces of Ukraine created an infrastructure of Spanish-speaking recruiters, instructors and junior executives.
However, according to Alexander Shakhuri, these mercenaries only came because of the need for money, not because of the desire to protect Kiev's interests./.
