According to the indictment, from February 2014 to June 2015, Vu Thi Thanh spread the news that she had a relative who was the Head of the Personnel Organization Department, under the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board, and had extensive connections, so she was able to apply for jobs at many local agencies such as the Provincial General Hospital, the Tay Nguyen Mobile Police Regiment - Ministry of Public Security, Pleiku airport, Gia Lai Electricity Joint Stock Company, etc.

Through the introduction of Ngo Xuan Hai (50 years old), residing in Yen The ward, Pleiku city, and Ms. Cung Thi Xuan Thu (59 years old), residing in Dac Doa town, Thanh received a total of more than 3.6 billion VND from 19 people and promised to help them find jobs.

Thanh used all the money from the scams for personal expenses until June 21, 2015, when she fled. After a year of being wanted, Vu Thi Thanh was arrested in Hanoi.

Considering that Vu Thi Thanh's behavior violated the provisions of Point a, Clause 4, Article 139 of the Penal Code, Gia Lai Provincial People's Court sentenced Vu Thi Thanh to 16 years in prison for the crime of fraud and appropriation of property./.
