Vietnam women's team receives envelopes on first day of training for World Cup campaign

The Asian Women's Football Championship takes place from April 6-20 in Jordan. The Vietnamese women's team is in the same group as Japan, Australia and South Korea. The five teams with the best results in the tournament will represent Asia at the 2019 Women's World Cup.

This is the 8th consecutive time that the women's team has qualified for the final round of the Asian Championship. The golden girls of Vietnamese football have created a feat that their male counterparts will find difficult to match.

Coach Mai Duc Chung shared:“In the first week, my assistants and I will focus on physical training for the players. This physical training session will be much more intense than previous training sessions. The professional physical training, technical and tactical training and friendly matches will take place from January 10.”
