Turkish league player Frantisek Rajtoral has passed away at the age of 31.

Turkish club Gaziantepspor confirmed on April 24 that Rajtoral passed away on Monday morning. Previously, the Czech winger's teammates did not see him arrive at the training ground and reported it to the club.

"Unfortunately, I can confirm that the news of a suicide is true," said club president Levent Kizil. "He was a serious player, in good spirits. He didn't seem to have any problems. I really don't know why he did this."

Rajtoral has 14 international caps, representing the Czech Republic at Euro 2012, where he appeared twice as a substitute.

Rajtoral has played mainly in his homeland, winning two league titles and a Özil Cup with Viktoria Plzen. He had a brief spell in Germany with Hamburg before moving to Turkey earlier this season.

Playing for Gaziantepspor, Rajtoral played 12 matches before being found dead.
