Japanese Yen, Yen/VCB exchange rate continues to slide
Today's Japanese Yen exchange rate surveyed on the morning of September 1 at banks, specifically as follows:
At Vietcombank, the Japanese Yen exchange rate is 160.55 VND/JPY for buying and 169.96 VND/JPY for selling, down 0.07 VND for buying and down 0.08 VND for selling.
At Vietinbank, the Yen exchange rate increased by 0.14 VND in both buying and selling directions, equivalent to 161.28 VND/JPY and 170.98 VND/JPY.
At BIDV bank, the buying price reached 161.03 VND/JPY, the selling price reached 169.59 VND/JPY, both prices decreased by 0.24 VND.

At Agribank, the buying and selling rates are 162.60 VND/JPY and 166.69 VND/JPY, respectively - down 0.18 VND for buying and down 0.16 VND for selling.
At Eximbank, the buying and selling rates decreased by 0.75 VND in the buying direction and increased by 0.69 VND in the selling direction, respectively pushing the price to 161.57 VND/JPY in the buying direction and 167.42 VND/JPY in the selling direction.
At Techcombank, the Japanese Yen exchange rate increased by 0.1 VND for buying and 0.15 VND for selling at 158.42 VND/JPY and 170.74 VND/JPY, respectively. At Sacombank, the Japanese Yen exchange rate increased by 0.22 VND for buying and 0.21 VND for selling at 162.53 VND/JPY and 169.11 VND/JPY, respectively.
According to a survey by PV, Sacombank is the bank with the highest buying rate of Japanese Yen and Agribank is the bank with the lowest selling rate among the surveyed banks.
World gold increased to 1948.8 USD/oz
Early morning of September 1 (Vietnam time), world gold prices continued to increase, currently spot gold price on Kitco floor is 1948.8 USD/oz, up 4.4 USD/oz compared to the previous trading session.
Converting world gold prices according to foreign exchange rates at Vietcombank: 1 USD = 24,240 VND, world gold price is equivalent to 56.91 million VND/tael, 11.34 million VND/tael lower than the selling price of SJC gold on the morning of September 1, 2023.

The domestic gold price at the end of August 31 was listed by Saigon Jewelry Company at 67.65 million VND/tael for buying and 68.25 million VND/tael for selling, both up 100,000 VND/tael for buying and selling compared to the opening time of the same morning session. The difference between the selling price of gold and the buying price is still 600,000 VND/tael higher than the buying price.
The buying and selling prices of gold listed by DOJI Group after the trading session on August 31 are at 67.60 - 68.30 million VND/tael. Compared to the beginning of the morning session, the buying price of gold increased by 300,000 VND/tael and the selling price increased by 150,000 VND/tael. The difference between buying and selling prices of gold at DOJI remains at 700,000 VND/tael.
The world gold price at the opening of the trading session on August 31 (US time) is decreasing when the spot price on Kitco floor is only at 1,944 USD/oz, down 2 USD/oz compared to the end of the trading session on August 30. Converting the world gold price according to the foreign exchange rate at Vietcombank: 1 USD = 24,240 VND, the world gold price is equivalent to 56.77 million VND/tael, 11.48 million VND/tael lower than the SJC gold selling price at the end of August 31.
The highest domestic coffee price is 66,700 VND/kg
Domestic coffee prices today turned around and increased sharply. At 4:00 a.m. on September 1, 2023, coffee prices ranged from 65,800 - 66,500 VND/kg, the highest in Dak Nong province was 66,700 VND/kg.
Specifically, coffee prices in Gia Lai and Kon Tum provinces stood at 66,100 VND/kg. In Dak Nong province, the highest coffee purchase price was 66,700 VND/kg.
The price of green coffee beans (coffee beans, fresh coffee beans) in Lam Dong province in districts such as Bao Loc, Di Linh, Lam Ha is purchased at 65,800 VND/kg.

Coffee price in Cu M'gar district in Dak Lak province is currently at 66,400 VND/kg. Meanwhile, in Ea H'leo district, Buon Ho town, it is purchased at the same price of 66,500 VND/kg (down 100 VND/kg).
World coffee prices at 4:00 a.m. on September 1, 2023 were updated on the Vietnam Commodity Exchange MXV (world coffee prices are continuously updated by MXV, matching with world exchanges, the only channel in Vietnam that continuously updates and links with world exchanges).
Specifically, after a session of rising prices, London Robusta coffee began to slightly decrease in the short term (down 0.28%), ranging from 2,298 - 2,529 USD/ton. In contrast, New York Arabica coffee prices decreased across all terms, with a decrease of less than 1%.
