Japanese Yen and VND exchange rates continue to slide
Japanese Yen exchange rates surveyed on the morning of September 22, 2023 at specific banks are as follows:
At Vietcombank, the Japanese Yen exchange rate is 159.81 VND/JPY for buying and 169.20 VND/JPY for selling, down 0.28 VND and 0.29 VND respectively.
At Vietinbank, the Yen exchange rate increased by 0.52 VND in both buying and selling directions, equivalent to 160.71 VND/JPY and 170.41 VND/JPY.

At BIDV, the buying rate decreased by 0.32 VND and the selling rate decreased by 0.33 VND to 160.5 VND/JPY and 168.84 VND/JPY. At Agribank, the buying and selling rates were 161.59 VND/JPY and 165.60 VND/JPY, respectively – down 0.28 VND and down 0.3 VND.
At Eximbank, the buying and selling rates decreased by 0.32 VND to 161.32 VND/JPY. At Techcombank, the Japanese Yen rate increased by 0.15 VND to 157.48 VND/JPY and 169.79 VND/JPY, respectively. At Sacombank, the Japanese Yen rate increased by 0.01 VND to 161.55 VND/JPY and by 0.02 VND to 168.15 VND/JPY.
Thus, Agribank is the bank with the highest buying rate of Japanese Yen and at the same time Agribank is also the bank with the lowest selling rate among the surveyed banks.
Gold prices 9999, SJC, 24K, PNJ, DOJI suddenly turned down
Today, the price of 9999, SJC, 24K, PNJ, DOJI, Mi Hong gold suddenly turned down. Accordingly, SJC gold bars were sold at 69.10 million VND/tael. At the time of survey at 5:30 a.m. on September 22, 2023, the gold price on the trading floors of some companies was as follows:
DOJI listed the price of 9999 gold at 68.40 million VND/tael for buying and 69.30 million VND/tael for selling.

At Mi Hong Jewelry Company, SJC gold price is at 68.55 - 69.00 million VND/tael (buy - sell).
SJC gold price at Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited is also traded by the enterprise at 68.42 - 69.08 million VND/tael (buy - sell). Meanwhile, at Bao Tin Manh Hai, it is being traded at 68.65 - 69.28 million VND/tael (buy - sell).
Domestic coffee prices fell sharply
Domestic coffee prices were updated at 4:18 a.m. on September 22, 2023 as follows: Coffee prices turned sharply down, down 500 VND/kg.
Specifically, the coffee purchase price in Gia Lai and Kon Tum provinces is 67,200 VND/kg. In Dak Nong province, coffee is purchased at the highest price of 67,600 VND/kg.

The price of green coffee beans (coffee beans, fresh coffee beans) in Lam Dong province in districts such as Bao Loc, Di Linh, Lam Ha, coffee is purchased at 66,800 VND/kg.
In Cu M'gar district, Dak Lak province, coffee price is currently at 67,300 VND/kg. In Ea H'leo district, Buon Ho town, it is purchased at the same price of 67,400 VND/kg.
Coffee prices on both the London Robusta and New York Arabica exchanges fell sharply; trading volumes on both exchanges were quite low, indicating that traders were still waiting for more news, right before the Fed held a press conference to announce that the USD interest rate would remain unchanged, remaining in the range of 5.25 - 5.5%/year; the value of the Brazilian Reais (BRL) in the USD/BRL exchange rate pair was at a low level of 4.93 - 4.88.
The Agricultural Supply and Forecasting Company (Conab) under the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture said that this year's Brazilian coffee crop is estimated to produce 54.36 million bags, up 6.8% compared to last year's crop. Compared to 2021, the same period of the most recent decline, the output increased by 13.9%. Of which, Arabica coffee is estimated to reach 38.16 million bags, up 6.8%...
