(Baonghean)Hanoi University of Science and Technology received a total of 19,000 applications this year, with an enrollment quota of 5,200 undergraduate students across 44 majors, divided into 7 groups. Therefore, the expected competition ratio is approximately 1/3.6. Each year, about 65% of registered candidates actually take the entrance exam. The majors with the highest number of applicants are Group 1: Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, and Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, and Group 2: Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Information Technology, and Computer Science.
This year, the University of Transport and Communications received 17,799 applications, with an enrollment quota of 5,000 students. Of these, 3,500 are for the main campus in Hanoi and 1,500 for the second campus in Ho Chi Minh City. Therefore, the expected competition ratio for admission is 1 in 3.5.
This year, the Foreign Trade University received 10,400 applications in the North, with an enrollment quota of 2,500; the South received 3,500 applications with an enrollment quota of 900. Therefore, the expected competition ratio in the North is approximately 1/4.16; and in the South is 1/3.88. The highest number of applications was for economics-related fields, especially international economics.
At the Banking Academy, the number of applicants is 10,000, including 8,768 in Group A (with a quota of 2,100) and 1,333 in Group D (with a quota of 200). Compared to the school's quota, the expected competition ratio for Group A is 1/4.1, and for Group D is 1/6.6.
At the National Economics University, the total number of applications for the entrance exam is 22,000, including 17,000 for Group A and 5,000 for Group D. The enrollment quota this year is 4,500. The expected competition ratio is 1/4.8.
According to statistics from the Academy of Finance, this year, the total number of admission quotas is 3,350. The total number of applications is 13,203, of which 12,343 are for Group A and 860 for Group D1. Thus, the ratio of quotas to applications is 1/3.9.
The Academy of Journalism and Communication received 7,850 applications (equivalent to 2011), with the most applications coming from Group C (social sciences) at 4,700. The school's enrollment target this year is 1,500. Therefore, the expected competition ratio for the Academy this year is 1 in 5.2.
Compared to previous years, the competition ratios at these schools are relatively stable, without significant fluctuations.
