U23 Vietnam had a hard-fought victory over U23 Taiwan

The weather in Kyrgyzstan is quite ideal, which helps both teams to fully demonstrate their strength.

Having to face the Taiwanese team, considered the weakest in Group 1, after the opening whistle, Mr. Park's students rushed to the opponent's field. Our players had small, smooth coordination on the right wing, causing difficulties for the defense of the U23 Taiwanese team.

But the other team also showed confidence when boldly holding the ball and launching attacks on the U23 Vietnam team's field. However, after only 8 minutes of play, our players created a clear opportunity. From a cross outside the penalty area by Le Van Xuan, striker Van Dat jumped high to head the ball, forcing goalkeeper Li Guan-pei to stand still, but the ball went right into the junction between the post and the crossbar and flew out.

In the following minutes of the match, Coach Park Hang-seo's students completely controlled the game. With skillful small ball coordination, U23 Vietnam easily imposed their playing style on U23 Taiwan's field.

The other team also stuck to the ball very hard and were not afraid of collisions, which somewhat reduced the danger in the attacks of the U23 Vietnam team. The two players Van Do and Van Xuan on the two wings played with full speed and technique, making our attacks quite dangerous.

The U23 Taiwan team mainly focused on defense, so their attacks were often easily broken up by the midfield of Mr. Park's students.

In the 33rd minute of the match, from a free kick on the left wing, our player sent the ball across the goal, but no striker touched the ball to open the score.

In the last minutes of the first half, due to the rush to score, U23 Vietnam's passes were misdirected many times. That created many counter-attack opportunities for the opposing team, but due to the low quality of the Taiwanese players, they did not create clear opportunities on goalkeeper Van Toan's goal.

Overall, in the first half of the match, Coach Park Hang-seo's team dominated the game. However, the pace of the match pushed by U23 Vietnam was not high, so they did not create many clear opportunities on goalkeeper Li Guan-pei's goal.

Entering the second half, U23 Vietnam was still the team that imposed its style of play on U23 Taiwan's field. However, just like in the first half, the opposing team defended like a bus in front of the goal, so it was very difficult for the red team to create dangerous opportunities.

Unlike the first half, U23 Vietnam pushed the tempo of the match higher, had more through balls, thus creating some dangerous opportunities. Hai Long entered the field, U23 Vietnam attacked more in the middle and launched more long-range shots. This is also a good option to make a difference, when the opponent is defending.

In the 60th minute, Viet Anh made a long pass to Van Do, who quickly escaped the opponent's marking and had a chance to face goalkeeper Li Guan-pei. However, Van Do did not shoot but passed the ball back inside, missing a regrettable opportunity for U23 Vietnam.

In the following minutes, Mr. Park's students continuously besieged the U23 Taiwan goal, many scoring opportunities created by our players were unfortunately missed.

Bao Toan dribbled and passed the ball very well, then he fired a very strong shot, but the shot missed the goal by a hair, it was a regrettable missed opportunity in the 75th minute of the match.

But the wait of Vietnamese fans was rewarded after many unfortunate misses by the red team. Hai Long made a great effort to dribble the ball in the middle and then passed it to Le Van Xuan, the left-back had a beautiful one-touch shot that sent the ball to the far corner of the goal, leaving goalkeeper Li Guan-pei helpless. The score was opened for the U23 Vietnam team in the 83rd minute.

In the final minutes of the match, Coach Park Hang-seo's players had more players and put pressure on the opponent, but no more goals were scored for U23 Vietnam.

Overall, in this match, our team played quite well, coordinated well with each other and completely controlled the game. However, U23 Vietnam still did not have many options to approach the goal with high danger. This was partly because U23 Taiwan mainly focused on the defensive front, they covered each other quite well.

But the key point in this match came from midfielder Hai Long. Since the presence of this player on the field, U23 Vietnam has played better, had more attacking options and he is truly the conductor of the red team.
