Indonesia keeps coach Shin Tae-yong to "repay debt" from Vietnam team?
Indonesian media reported that the Indonesian Football Federation (PSSI) will likely extend the contract with coach Shin Tae-yong until the end of the second qualifying round of the 2026 World Cup in Asia, where they will face Vietnam again.
"Up to this point, I have no plans to leave Indonesia. In recent meetings with PSSI President Erick Thohir, there was no discussion about whether I would stay or leave," Bola quoted coach Shin Tae-yong as saying amid speculation about his future.

Mr. Shin was signed by PSSI from the end of 2019 to the end of December 2023. The results of the competition did not meet expectations in major tournaments such as the 2022 World Cup qualifiers, two AFF Cups (2020, 2022), and the 31st SEA Games, making Indonesian public opinion believe that the Korean coach will have difficulty renewing his contract.
However, Bola newspaper revealed that the new PSSI President still wants to keep Mr. Shin Tae-yong, at least until the end of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers in Asia (from November 2023 to June 2024).
"The goal that PSSI President set for Coach Shin Tae-yong is to win the right to enter the third qualifying round of the 2026 World Cup and a ticket to the 2024 Paris Olympics," Bola added.
Sadio Mane becomes Ronaldo's teammate, Liverpool "loses" 7.5 million pounds
On August 2 (local time), Sadio Mane officially left Bayern Munich to join Al-Nassr for a transfer fee of 28 million Euros (equivalent to 24.1 million Pounds).
After passing a medical, Mane signed a three-year contract with Al-Nassr. In Saudi Arabia, the Senegalese striker wears the number 10 shirt and earns up to £650,000 a week.

In the Al-Nassr shirt, Mane will play alongside a number of stars who have played in the Premier League such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Alex Telles and David Ospina.
This deal will help Mane earn a huge amount of money in the final years of his career. However, it will cost Liverpool a lot of money.
Specifically, according to Daily Mail, a year ago, Bayern Munich spent 27.5 million pounds to buy Mane from Liverpool. Along with that was an additional fee of 7.5 million pounds if the 31-year-old striker met the requirements in the contract.
However, last season, Mane only had 12 goals and 6 assists after 38 appearances in all competitions. That meant Liverpool did not receive any additional fees.
